Salute to Excellence

For the past 25 years, community and nonprofit leaders in Middle Tennessee have gathered together for a night of recognition and celebration at the Center for Nonprofit Management’s Salute to Excellence. Also known as the "Grammys" for nonprofits, Salute to Excellence is the largest nonprofit awards ceremony in the country.

Salute to Excellence brings together more than 1,100 local business, community, and nonprofit leaders as they honor organizations in 13 distinct categories of service.

Finalists in each category will receive recognition for their ongoing hard work in the community, and the night’s winning organizations will take home cash prizes totaling $250,000.

This year, Moves and Grooves, Inc. was selected as a finalist for 2018 SKANSKA award for Educational Enhancement. This award is designated to area nonprofits that leverage their partnership with Metro Nashville Public Schools to impact student achievement and growth.

Among the 200 qualified candidates, Moves and Grooves, Inc. was selected as a TOP 3 finalist for the agency's innovative strategy to partner with school teachers to design rigorous academic curriculum that integrates the art of dance, music and hands-on learning.

2018 marks the 26th year of recognizing the outstanding Middle Tennessee nonprofits and their leaders by applauding their hard work and commitment to make our community a better place to live and work. Over the years, CNM has honored more than 500 nonprofit award finalists and awarded more than $3 million to excellent nonprofits.
