Five-time Grammy winner Ronald Winans almost saw it all come to an end in 1997 when he experienced a massive heart attack- "I know it was the prayers of the believers that moved the hand of God on my behalf," tells Ron. "I will forever he grateful" This experience inspired the song, I Shall Not Die and renewed Ron's perspective of life. The doctors said he would never sing again, but... you should see for yourself.

Ronald Winans first captured the hearts of listeners while singing with his brothers Marvin, Carvin, and Michael, better known as "The Winans." The award winning quartet was introduced to the music industry by Gospel veteran Andrae Crouch, and during their time together, they released ten successful projects Between projects with his brothers, Ron gave birth to his own choral series, Ron Winans Family & Friends. The series has not only included family members, such as BeBe, CeCe, Marvin, Carvin, and Debbie, but have also highlighted such renowned artists as Dormie McClurkin, Karen Clark-Sheard, Donnda Clark-Cole, Pastor Darrell Hines, and Kayla Parker. His latest project in the series is no exception, it features everyone from American Idol Ruben Studdard to Gospel great Gladys Knight Ron Winans family & friends V was recorded live in Detroit, MI on May 30,2004 and will be releasing January 31, 2005.
