The 7 Method (T7M) is from the Greensboro, NC area and has a heavy melodic hardcore sound that has been compared to popular secular artists such as Killswitch Engage and the Deftones. As I Lay Dying and Disciple fans will also appreciate this group. The 7 Method’s songwriting is straight forward and honest with relentless lyrics that revel in truth.

When The 7 Method formed in late 1999, founding members Chris Wheat and Marshall Jones were intent on creating music that was strong enough to exist in the secular realm, but that contained the truth of Christianity in its lyrics. Six years later, the band has seen this goal come to fruition, as The 7 Method has shared the stage with acts as diverse as Soil, Pillar, 311, Alien Ant Farm, Disciple, Project 86, East West, and others. The band has developed quiet a stir amongst fans while appearing on The Van's Warped Tour and at the Cornerstone Festivals.

Never afraid to give a witness or to pray with fans at an event, The 7 Method makes a point also to never condemn or judge the non-believer, but rather chooses to focus on God’s unfailing love and mercy. The band stresses the importance of a relationship with God through His son, Jesus Christ, while also explaining that organized religion has turned away seekers in the past through its dogmatic lists of rules and regulations.

The band continues to follow up with new believers through emails and personal relationships, and maintains a prayer list of individuals that are lifted up each week at rehearsal. Following in the words of Jesus who said to “go out and make disciples of all nations”, The 7 Method will continue to represent and spread the truth of Christianity through its music and by forming relationships with those who are seeking, many of whom would never enter a traditional church service.

In a time when so many are hurting, the band considers it both a privilege and a responsibility to offer hope through Jesus Christ to those that are lost. It is, in fact, the primary reason we exist, both as a band and as individuals.
