Admiral twin's latest CD, Creatures of Bread & Wine, once again
showcases this Tulsa, OK, pop-rock combo's amazing knack for consistently
catchy, intelligent songwriting, rock solid musicianship and stellar
harmonies that is a spirited blast of freshly honed pop that is
witty and multi-faceted.
Formed in 1996, they took their name, Admiral Twin, from a landmark
drive-in movie theater in Tulsa. They quickly gained a rather fervent
following and in 1997 went into the studio to record their debut
CD, Unlucky. To support the new CD, in the summer of 1998 the group
set out on an extensive tour of North America with local friends
and international pop-stars, Hanson.
Currently, the band has released 5 CDs to date including 2000's
critically praised Mock Heroic on Mojo/Universal Records, produced
by Gavin MacKillop (The Church, The Rembrants).
Admiral Twin has performed for well over 500,000
concert-goers all across North America at sold-out shows and well-known
music festivals such as Cornerstone and the International Pop Overthrow.
Their music has been featured in the Warner Bros. motion picture
The In Crowd and the hit television series Blind Date.
Nationwide, Creatures of Bread & Wine is already drawing praise
as the band's finest release to date. Joe Felzke of Urban Tulsa
weekly raves "this is Admiral Twin passionately and snappily
taking pop music through a big, shimmering workout of infectious
rhythms and delicious guitars. Their feel is at its most energetic,
and the sound of the album is pristine as well as raw. The tunes
are just plain fun."
