In the fall of 2004, this young band from Buffalo, NY was formed
from members of the secular band 4th Definition. Although a very
popular and successful band in the regional scene, an unshakable
desire to share their faith in God was the genesis of a new group;
Falling Into Place.
Musically they have been compared to such bands as Linkin Park,
Blindside and Staple. Armed with great songs and an unforgettable
live show, the band made quite a splash at this year’s Gospel
Music Week in Nashville, TN garnering praise from a wide variety
of attendees from media to retail.
Their first single on Christian Rock Radio “Waves”
is an anthem for the band that describes their own journey; So many
people are beaten down and crushed by the trials and hardships that
we all must endure in this life, but it doesn’t need to be
that way, when the waves of life come crashing down upon us we can
stand strong in Jesus. Even when we go through difficult and painful
experiences, in Him we can stand strong like a rock against the
waves that beat against it. “Waves” is a call to leave
behind the lies and false enlightenment that is found in the world
and to embrace the free gift that He gave us as He was pierced by
our sins.
The band will be performing at numerous summer festivals and a
fall tour with some other well known acts is in the works. The band
has put a strong emphasis on reaching others with their message
of faith, hope, and survival in life's struggles. With each member
being heavily involved in the music scene for a number of years,
they have come together combining their God given talents.
The newest edition to the band is bassist, Chris Laird, who has
solidified their group. Their straight forward, hard rock stylings,
bring energy and a colossal sound.
They are a band with a promising future that relies heavily on their
faith to guide them on their musical journey. Recently signed to
Word of Mouth Records, they are expecting to release a full-length
record in the spring of 2005, along with a string of tours.
