Moves & Grooves is a non-profit organization committed to enhance the lives of young people through arts, academics, character development, fitness and nutrition education. Our goal is to use the arts to boost student achievement and prevent childhood obesity.
Our Target:
At-risk youth ages 5-18 in Metro Nashville.

To cultivate healthy and happy young people who are compassionate about their communities, connected by dance and committed to learning and living a life of high moral character.

To use the ARTS as a platform to engage youth in learning valuable life skills while creating opportunities for self-expression, self-empowerment and self-discovery.

Arts – Encouraging youth to be creative and use various forms of art as an outlet to express feelings and emotions.
Education – Inspiring youth to Excel in school and decrease the rate of high school drop-outs, by becoming first-generation college students.
Diversity – Developing a group of young people
who take pride in their own culture, while holding
the cultures of all people in high regard.
Health -Promoting positive health by providing nutritious snacks and daily exercise through dance, sports and physical activity for youth to enjoy a healthy and vibrant lifestyle.
Community Service – Creating opportunities for youth to “give back” in their neighborhoods and beyond, while developing a sense of pride and responsibility.
Youth Employment – Empowering youth to be self-sufficient citizens. Creating opportunities for youth to learn responsibility and money management while gaining the necessary skills they need to succeed in the workforce.
