This one hour NON-CONTACT class is a great toning and cardiovascular workout. Glove up and hit the heavy bay, pummel the speed bag, jump rope and more! This class is an excellent way to get in shape. NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY. Prior to participation in the class, you must first take an introductory class to learn your basic boxing fundamentals and become familiar with the group format. This introductory class is also a great way for you to determine if this workout is for you. Your intro class is scheduled by appointment and is a one on one session. The cost for the session is $40 and includes a pair of handwraps.

Group classes run on a three month term and are held on the following days:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:00 p.m.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30 a.m.

What You Can Expect At Your Introductory Workout:

Plan to arrive at the gym a few minutes early — this will give you time to meet the instructor, fill out an information sheet and sign a waiver form. If you need to change into workout clothes—sweats, shorts, T-shirt and gym shoes are fine—you can do so at that time. All equipment is provided. Knockout Fitness will also give you your first pair of
handwraps.

Throughout your first workout you will learn basic boxing fundamentals including how to hold your hands and where to place your feet. The trainer will put you through some basic boxing drills and calisthenics. Since group classes also perform some kickboxing, you will learn 4 basic kicks. Your trainer will show you what all the equipment is used for and how to perform on it. Experiencing the pace and structure of a class and what the trainer expects from you will assist you in feeling comfortable when you attend your very first group class. However, the trainer will also teach you how to pace yourself and you will be encouraged to work at your own fitness level.
